- Florida Kingsnake (Lampropeltis getula floridana)
- Sex: Female
- Morph: Axanthic (Recessive); Snow (Recessive)
- Birth Date: 9th of March 2026
- ID Number: UEFKSNF2601
This beautiful double recessive morph was first produced in South African by Ultimate Exotics and is still a very rare morph combination in our country. The T+Snow Florida Kingsnake is one of the most striking recessive kingsnake morphs available and is a combination of the Axanthic recessive morph and the T+Albino recessive morph. The Axanthic morph is characterized by a genetic mutation that completely eliminates yellow and red pigments. This results in a striking, high-contrast palette consisting entirely of black, grey, and crisp white tones and the T+Albino morph characterized by the complete lack of dark melanin pigment, resulting in bright orange, yellow, white or lavender patterns paired with red eyes.
Known for their calm temperament and hardy nature, Florida Kingsnakes make excellent pets for both beginners and experienced keepers. They are inquisitive, active snakes that quickly become confident in captivity and are well known for their strong feeding response and straightforward husbandry.
Captive-bred Florida Kingsnakes are easy to care for and thrive in a secure enclosure with appropriate heating, fresh water, hiding places, and a regular feeding schedule. As adults they typically reach 90–120cm in length.
