The Antilles Pink Tarantula (Avicularia versicolor), also known as the Martinique Pinktoe, is a stunning arboreal tarantula prized for its vibrant colours and elegant appearance. Native to the Caribbean island of Martinique, this species develops beautiful shades of metallic blue, purple, pink, orange and green as it matures.

An arboreal species, A. versicolor is an active climber and thrives in a tall, well-ventilated enclosure with plenty of vertical space, branches and foliage for webbing and climbing.

Despite its striking appearance, the Antilles Pink Tarantula is generally considered better suited to experienced keepers, as it can be fast-moving and may jump when startled. With appropriate care and a suitable enclosure, it can make a spectacular addition to a tarantula collection.
