Common Name: Cubaris Blonde Ducky

Scientific Name: Cubaris murina

The Cubaris “Blonde Ducky” isopod is a beautiful and highly sought-after variety, known for its soft, creamy-blonde coloration and distinctive rounded body shape. These fascinating little isopods make an excellent addition to established bioactive vivariums and are a favourite among isopod enthusiasts and collectors.

Like other Cubaris varieties, Blonde Duckies are detritivores that help break down decaying organic matter, leaf litter and wood, contributing to a healthy natural nutrient cycle within the enclosure.

They prefer a humid, well-established environment with plenty of leaf litter, decaying hardwood, hides and organic material. Providing a moisture gradient and good ventilation is important for maintaining a healthy colony.
